Made entirely of sturdy white ABS, the skimmer plays an important role in water suction and debris retention. A large leaf strainer is included for this purpose. All models include the adhesive gaskets, flanges and screws for installation with a liner. They also have UV protection to prevent deterioration. There are two suction connections with interior and exterior thread at the bottom, plus a connection to the sump and an overflow connection. In 17.5 l models, the strainer basket is secured in place by a bayonet locking devise, for easier assembly and disassembly.
